Experience an immersive and unprecedented performance: a theatrical guided tour of the Belle Etoile Shopping Center!
Inspired by the style of tourist walks through archaeological sites, L'Âge d'or offers guided tours of banks, offices, and shopping centres – places rarely appreciated beyond their functional dimension. In this reimagining of their performance in Luxembourg, Swiss artists Igor Cardellini and Tomas Gonzalez team up with actress Frédérique Colling. With a touch of humour, they will attempt to decode the ideals conveyed by the American-style mall, a space where remnants of the past coexist with the reality of our contemporary societies.
During a leisurely stroll through the Belle Etoile Shopping Center, audience members, equipped with headphones, are invited behind-the-scenes to uncover the history and the stakes of this grand-ducal temple of consumption. L'Âge d'or goes beyond a simple visit: it is a sensitive and offbeat experience that casts light on how commercial architecture affects us.
