Join a unique artistic project on menopause

This February, Kinneksbond, Centre Culturel Mamer will host When the Bleeding Stops by Icelandic choreographer Lovísa Ósk Gunnarsdóttir — and you can be part of it!

We are looking for women aged 40–65 who are enthusiastic about dance and movement. No previous experience is required.

When the Bleeding Stops explores the silence and taboos surrounding menopause, as well as personal experiences of ageing. The piece celebrates life in all its stages, placing menopausal women from around the world at the heart of the project. Lovísa now warmly invites women in Luxembourg to join this artistic journey.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

  • Participation begins in December and will initially take place online. It includes a personal exchange with the choreographer as well as dancing at home. During this process, short videos may be created and—with the participant’s consent—selected excerpts may be shown on stage.
  • The journey is highly individual: each woman decides how much she wishes to contribute.
  • Participants will then be invited to join the performance and dance on stage (optional) at Kinneksbond, Centre Culturel Mamer.
